(stock photo) HAIL STORM PELTS HERONS CREEK Despite the general lack of rain this summer, there have been several intense downpours with hail. On Monday 25th November a massive storm hit all over Herons Creek district. Bill Boyd from Cedar Creek collected large flat & jagged hail stones whilst neighbour Martin Hocking (Master Builder) reported hailstones the size of golf balls joined together. Sadly the news from Bobs creek was the destruction of many fruit trees and vegetable gardens. Herons Creek Vineyard took a big hit with a large estimate of grapes being lost. Martin Newell of LJ Hooker, Laurieton, who happen to be in the district videoed the storm at its peak. Thanks to Camden Haven Courier some amazing footage of the hail is available here: http://www.camdencourier.com.au/story/1931351/video-hail-at-herons-creek/?cs=704
